Turkish Troubles Steer Investors Towards the USD

The holidays in Europe continue keeping economic activity to a minimum with an exception in the past week being the devaluation of the Turkish Lira.

Turkey is a vital market, being the bridge between Europe and Asia, so the economic turmoil and changes in monetary policy that could be engrained in political thinking really worries investors.

The USD increased by .08% in the last week and is strengthening its safe haven status among this and trade tensions. On a brighter note, NAFTA talks have improved and Canada is now included in negotiations with the US and Mexico, in an effort to come to an agreement by the end of the year!
