Tempus is seeking experienced candidates interested in starting or resuming a career in the finance industry. We have openings for this position in all three of our office locations; Washington, DC; New York City; and Los Angeles.      


As an Associate Sales Consultant your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting new sales opportunities with businesses, spanning all sectors, including non-profit institutions that fit into our target market by using cold calling and e-mailing methods.
  • Establishing rapport with prospects, identifying key decision makers, and scheduling meetings when appropriate.
  • Managing the complete sales cycle to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline reports, and compiling competitor information
  • Analyzing clients’ business objectives, identify their FX and international payment needs
  • Developing networking opportunities to further strengthen Tempus’ position in the professional community and identify new business opportunities
  • Meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Proactively influencing business decision makers by promoting Tempus’ risk management tools and payment solutions


  • Four-year degree, preferred but not required
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in finance, bookkeeping, accounting, or similar field preferred
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication
  • High degree of professionalism, with a confident, assertive style
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong desire to succeed; self-motivated; self-starter
  • Must be coachable and willing to try different techniques
  • Ability to maintain a positive demeanor in spite of rejections
