Position

Tempus, Inc. is a leader in the foreign exchange and the international business payments industry. We provide corporate clients with FX payment solutions and tools to help them manage their currency exposure, improve cash flow, and leverage global market opportunities.

Tempus is seeking experienced candidates interested in starting or resuming a career in the finance industry. Through our in-depth paid training you will learn the FX market from the bottom up as an Associate. We will provide all the tools you need to build an exciting and prosperous future as a successful consultant in a global business with unlimited potential.

We have openings for this position in all three of our office locations; Washington, DC; New York City; and Los Angeles.      

Responsibilities

As an Associate Sales Consultant your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting new sales opportunities with businesses, spanning all sectors, including non-profit institutions that fit into our target market by using cold calling and e-mailing methods.
  • Establishing rapport with prospects, identifying key decision makers, and scheduling meetings when appropriate.
  • Managing the complete sales cycle to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline reports, and compiling competitor information
  • Analyzing clients’ business objectives, identify their FX and international payment needs
  • Developing networking opportunities to further strengthen Tempus’ position in the professional community and identify new business opportunities
  • Meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Proactively influencing business decision makers by promoting Tempus’ risk management tools and payment solutions

Requirements

  • Four-year degree, preferred but not required
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in finance, bookkeeping, accounting, or similar field preferred
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication
  • High degree of professionalism, with a confident, assertive style
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong desire to succeed; self-motivated; self-starter
  • Must be coachable and willing to try different techniques
  • Ability to maintain a positive demeanor in spite of rejections
